آتشک متعدی مرض ٹریپونما پیلیڈم Treponemapallidum
بیکٹیریم کے ذریعہ متحرک ہے اور بنیادی طور پر غیر محفوظ جنسی جماع کے دوران پھیلتا ہے
متاثرہ عورت یا مرد سے جنسی ملاپ کے کچھ ہفتوں بعد بیکٹیریا کے داخل ہونے کی جگہ پر ایک پھنسی ظاہر ہوتی ہے جو بعد میں پھٹ کر زخم کی شکل اختیار کر لیتی ہے لیکن اس زخم میں کوئی درد نہیں ہوتا۔

متاثرہ شخص سے جنسی تعلقات،بغیر سکریننگ خون کی منتقلی،استعمال شدہ سرنجوں کا دوبارہ استعمال،جنسی رطوبات
